The 7th Art Market

I'm happy to announce that I have been selected for The 7th Art Market.  This is a contemporary craft fair organised by makers and is well worth a visit.  There is always a diverse range of craft for sale.  It's a friendly show with a great atmosphere.

I will be selling my work on Sunday 5th June 2011 at Holmfirth Indoor Market.  10am - 4pm,  £2 entry includes entry to the Art Raffle.

Please check out the Art Market's blog to read an interview about me.  Here is a short excerpt ......

Name of company/artist?
Beverley Gee

Tell us about your company and how it all began?
I studied 3D Design at Manchester Metropolitan University. Throughout the course I was always happiest in the ceramics department and this lead me to specialise in ceramics.  After university, I travelled for five years and spent two years in Japan.  I love Japanese arts and crafts.  After, returning home I set up my studio in Salford, Lancashire.  I have been in business for five years.
What do you specialize in?
I make decorative porcelain with a distinctive original aqua glaze. My current range includes bowls, cups, wall art and brooches. Most of the pieces are thrown on a potter's wheel but I also use other processes to form the work.

Well done to Masako and Francesa for organising a successful charity night for Japan.  Also, a big thank you to my friends who donated their handmade work as much sort over raffle prizes.  The night raised £550 for the relief fund.  Fantastic!  If you would like to donate then please follow this link.  Thank you.
